Good service from Specsavers this morning. Had a call to say Optician had called in sick. It happens! (I work in a dentist and can never understand how people cant accept that doctors/dentists/opticians are allowed to be ill too!) They offered me an appointment at th same time with a different optician but noticed I always saw Richard and rung to check if I wanted to see him a different day instead. Thought that was very good as I value keeping relationships with the same person so happily rearranged. Little touches like that make this far less faceless than other chains I know
Staff consistently friendly and professional. Was shown around all the recent renovations and investment. Staff seem to really take pride in where they work which is good to see. John
Excellent friendly service received on Saturday afternoon. The assistant went the extra mile to repair my sons broken glasses.
Told it may take an hour and it did asked to use the bathroom and the helpful lady told me use the library at the end of the street, after i paid for 2 pairs of glasses Thankyou
Just wanted to take a moment to thank the Optician in Specsavers. We dont actually normally go to any Opticians as fortunately the whole family sees well. However, over the holidays my 9 year old daughter had been pestering me to help her make slime. One of things needed to make slime is contact lens solution. After trying a few other places who werent particularly helpful, we popped into Specsavers. I know it might have seemed a bit odd a 9 year old looking to buy contact lens solution, so the lady at reception went to have a chat with the optician. He was clearly busy but he cane out of his room and gave her all the time in the world. He explained to her why contact lens solution helps make slime and which bottle contains the right ingredients and which ones were safe for her to use. She was delighted and was more than happy to spend 8 pounds of her pocket money on the solution. Instead though, he went out the back and found a small bottle and gave it to her for free. We didnt spend a penny in the shop, but he made my daughters day and made her feel like the most important customer in the shop. Its very rare to find such naturally friendly service these days and I think it deserves praise when you come across it. Its unlikely Ill need to come back anytime soon as I can still see fine but I wouldnt hesitate to recommend to others. Thank you x
