Have been with this practise for years; in the past I have been told to wait until the next appointment for over 3 years about getting a referral for a wisdom tooth extraction. Most recently I waited over 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. The dentist took x rays of my teeth and after highlighting that my wisdom tooth was growing impacted she tried to offer me a course of antibiotics for it even though she told me that my teeth showed no sign of infection. She was rude when I turned the antibiotics down and tried to question my decision. Been with this practise for years but I am completely appalled at the new dentists as they are rude and have no bedside/patient manner at all.
A poorly executed cosmetic tooth veneer needed emergency repair work - they unhelpfully suggested I wait for two weeks with a broken front tooth for an appointment. Receptionist not bothered in the slightest. Avoid, there are better dentists in Flint.
Dentists change so often you never get a chance to know them. They are out for the bottom line, to sell treatments etc. The other, and worst, downside of having so many different dentists is treatment varies so much. I have just recently left this practice after having had very bad treatment and am now registered with a new practice which is everything Oasis is not. So grateful I made the move, my nerves wouldn't stand another appointment!
Im 39 and always looked after my teeth. OralB, Sonicare, Waterpik... had no fillings up until about 4 years ago as I broke a tooth on shellfish.I opt for white fillings only. Been going to Oasis for years, never really had any issues reported by the 3 dentists that treated me before until a new dentist, James took over. I was told I had pretty bad gum disease and needed 3 monthly periodontal cleaning. I was sceptical however initially agreed.A few months later I spotted a bit of unrelated decay that needed a filling so went and for it to be done, he couldnt see it so sent me away! I then took a photo of it, this time he saw it and filled it.At my next 3 monthly anti gum disease clean he then got fill happy and wanted to book me to have some done. By this point I declined and opted for a second opinion. I selected a well established private dental practice. No gum disease. No need for any fillings at the moment. No real need for a scale and polish either. What happened to the gum disease James? Magically disappeared?
